 | January 16, the 2003 Shandong Aviation Group AGM is held at the Shandong Airlines Centre. CEO Jia Fuwen attended the meeting and delivered a work report entitled “The Implementation Of Scientific Expertise In Safety Management Services To Build Brand Equity And Promote Sustainable Development”. The AGM was chaired by Party Secretary Li Junhai. General Manager Zeng Guoqiang delivered a speech on new safety regulations from the CAAC and laid out plans for safety work in the coming year. Over 530 employees, including departmental heads, employee representatives, as well as pilots and service managers who were not only duty at the time attended the AGM. The responsible agents from different departments as well as the Holding Company signed a document entitled Comprehensive Corporate Goals of 2004. The outstanding employees and groups were given recognition, and ten Outstanding Youth awards were presented at the AGM for 2003. |  | February 28, a Share Transfer and Cooperation Agreement is signed in Jinan between Wang Kaiyuan, General Manager of Air China Group Co., Jiang Yanwei, General Manager of Shandong Economic Development Investment Co., and Jia Fuwen, General Manager of Shandong Aviation Group Once the agreement came into effect, Shandong Aviation Group held 42% of Shandong Airlines shares, remaining the largest shareholder. Air China held 22.8% of shares for Shandong Airlines, being the second-largest shareholder. In addition, Air China had a 48% stake in Shandong Aviation Group, and became the largest shareholder in the company. |  | Yang Yuanyuan, Head of the CAAC, Han Yuqun, Governor of Shandong, and Li Jiaxiang, party secretary of Air China Group attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. |  | April 5, Shandong Airlines was granted by the CAAC the route between Jinan-Shenzhen-Singapore and Qingdao-Shenzhen-Singapore (File No. CAAC 2004-17). The CAAC approved for Shandong Airlines to begin operating on these routes by May 27, 2004. |  | April 23, the Shandong Airlines Crew Training Centre opens in Qingdao. It was a characteristic project on the company’s path for the development of quality services. The equipment inside the training centre was effective and modern and modern, following the completion of model B737-300 and CRJ-200 interior cabin training rooms, and classrooms designed for stepped multimedia, CBT, audio-visual, aesthetics, make-up, fitness, and CPR. Fifteen instructors worked in the training centre. This day was of great significance to the company. |  | September 28, in a joint project by the Anshun Municipal Government, Shandong Aviation Group, Shuangyang Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Anshun Huangguoshu Airport opens for operation after a celebratory ceremony. Zeng Guoqiang, Vice-President of Shandong Aviation Group and General Manager of the Holdings Company attended the ceremony and delivered his remarks. The airport is located in the suburbs of Anshun, in Guizhou province. The investment cost over 70 million Yuan, with a runway length of 2800 m and width of 50m, and the capability of landing Boeing 737 aircraft. It was a level 4C airport. The first routes to arrive and depart from the airport included Beijing-Anshun-Beijing, Sanya-Anshun-Guangzhou, and Qingdao-Anshun-Kunming. |  | October 26, in a breakthrough by the ticketing department, Shandong Airlines sold its first electronic ticket. The relevant departments now easily hold records of every ticket sold – a largely beneficial move for the tracking and finances of ticketing. |  | December 26, the company celebrates ten years of safe operation. Ceremonies were held in Jinan, Qingdao, and Yantai, three prominent hubs for the airline. Many employees were organized to attend one of these events because of their important nature. |
