 | January 21, Shandong Airlines receives the annual Jinyan Cup from the CAAC. |  | January 25, Shandong Aviation Group holds their 2005 work review conference and worker’s congress at Shandong Airlines Centre. select cadres, employee representatives, pilots, service directors, and administrators – a total of some 500 people, attended the conference. The Qingdao subsidiary and the Yantai centre both held simultaneous broadcasts of the conference through video streaming, allowing many employees to watch the events live. |  | January 18, under the directives from the Central Committee and the provincial Party Committee, the company’s party committee decided that beginning in late June, party members inside the company’s organization would begin organized study in the implementation the important thought of Three Represents to keep party members up-to-date with current policies. |  | March 15, Shandong Airlines Co., Ltd. holds its first temporary shareholder conference of 2006, electing its third board of directors and board of supervisors. The board of directors contained thirteen people, of which nine were non-independent directors: Sun Yude, Zhang Xingfu, Zeng Guoqiang, Su Zhongmin, Bai Weisan, Xiao Feng, Wang Mingyuan, Kou Zunxian, Wang Jieming; four independent directors: Wang Zhi, Hu Jijian, Fang Shaokun, Wei Jincai. The board of supervisors included five people, of which three were shareholder representatives: Wang Fuzhu, Wang Wuping, Gao Lihua; two were employee representatives, Wang Xianlin, Zhou Qiaoyan. After the completion of the shareholder conference, the Holdings Co. held the first meeting of the Third Board of Directors. Zhang Xingfu was elected as the Chairman of the Board, and Sun Yude was elected Vice-Chair. Mr. Zeng Guoqiang, Li Qing’en and Su Zhongmin were appointed General Manager, Secretary of Board and deputy executive general manager respectively. Mr. Bai Weisan, Ms. Song Yuxia, Mr. Yu Haitian, Mr. Li Qing’en (concurrent) became deputy General Managers; Zhang Qingshe was appointed chief of the Flight Division, He Guobin was appointed as the Chief Engineer, Xiao Feng was appointed Chief Accountant. At the conclusion of the Board Meeting, the Third Board of Trustees was elected and Mr. Wang Fuzhu was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. |  | May 20, the fifth Athletics Games for the employees of Shandong Airlines was held. President Sun Yude and Party Committee Secretary Zhang Xingfu and other company leaders attended the venue of the event with employee athletes. |  | August 16, in the morning, Shandong Aviation Group holds the first “one through ticket” international test air route at Jinan International Airport. A Boeing 737 flight takes off from Jinan destined for Frankfurt via Beijing at 8:05. This marked the beginning of four international air routes to Tokyo and other destinations via Beijing. |  | August 17, the ceremony for the opening of five new international air routes takes place in Qingdao. Deputy Municipal Secretary General and City Port Authority Chair Lu Xinmin, General Manager of Qingdao Liuting International Airport Authority Liu Yuliang, as well as airport customs, border checks, and pest and disease control representatives also attended the ceremony. |  | August 18, the company holds a CCAR-121-R2 regulatory certificate conference. CAAC Eastern China Regional Department deputy chair Guo Youhu as well as other officials from the Eastern China Regional Department and Shandong regulatory agencies attended and presented the operational certificates to the new air carriers. The new air carriers’ operational certificates provide our company’s operational range in scheduled domestic and international flights and temporary additions t operations. |  | December 1st, the company holds a political thought conference on the 31st floor at the Shandong Airlines Centre. The party branch of the company held a forum discussing Shandong Aviation Group’s political orientation work. |  | December 26, Shandong Airlines completes twelve years of safe flight. During these years Shandong Airlines had a total safe operation period of 542,000 hours, with safe take-offs and landings totalling 353,300 times, transporting 21.33 million passengers. The company has received the most renowned national award in operational safety, the Jinyan Cup in 2000 and 2005, and Jinyng Cup in 2002. |
