It seemed like very little has passed since the founding of Shandong Airlines Group (Shandong Airlines) over 15 years go. Under the guidance and direction of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, as well as Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), and with the support of our shareholders and contributors within society, we’ve really flown over 15 years with a perfect safety record. Here, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the people responsible for this success at all levels for their dedication and help in the construction of our company and industry. Shandong Airlines, alongside the success of Chinese economic reforms, carries the dream of 94 million people of Shandong province to fly and sing a hymn constantly in the sky. The staff and management at the company have worked together to take flight with the company’s journey. Under the service philosophy of sincerity, honesty, and integrity, we have had a perfect safety record and gained massive social and economic in-roads. Especially in recent years, Shandong Airlines has been of note for opening up numerous international and regional flights, a first step in becoming a medium-sized airline: By 2009, we have had 46 aircrafts (Boeing B737 and other types); in 2006, we were awarded ‘Jinyan Cup’ (‘Golden Wild Goose Award’), the most prestigious award for safety in the industry. In addition, with the best punctuality record, we maintain good momentum for sustainable development.

The 15 years of development has been but a prelude. Today, standing at a new milestone, we can only look forward. Shandong Airlines is an eagle soaring above the sky of China's Shandong region (the hometown of Confucius and Mencius), stretching its wings in free flight, about to make an unparalleled impression to the world. It will propel to new successes to reward its shareholders and thank a supportive society. Shandong Airlines has been instrumental in Shandong's achievements after China’s economic reforms and shall dedicate to creating a new, strong, prosperous, and vibrant province.
