I. A brief overview of the e-ticket
A: An electronic ticket (or e-ticket) is an electronic form of the traditional paper air ticket, and also exists as a digital record in airline computers. Currently, it is the most advanced form of air ticketing based on modern information technology. It successfully implements the paper-free electronic process including booking, billing and check-in, which brings much convenience to passengers and helps airlines cut costs. Compared with the traditional flight ticket, the e-ticket has the following advantages:
1.The ability to purchase the ticket online and pay the fare by bank card, without physically going to the ticket counter;
2.The ability to check-in at an airport with valid identification without physically delivering the ticket;
A flight ticket will not be lost or forgotten. All that the traveler is required to present before checking in at the airport is the valid identification used at the time of e-ticket purchase. |

II. Service Notes | 1. | Instructions for ticket purchase: An e-ticket is purchased through an online booking and electronic payment system. A passenger can visit www.shandongair.com.cn to buy an e-ticket online, and make the purchase online with a bank card acceptable to our website. At the present, our website supports online payment through ICBC (Industrial and Commercial Bank of China), CMB (China Merchants Bank), CCB (China Construction Bank) and China Unionpay electronic payment. After successful payment, a confirmation number (including order number) will be assigned to an order. This number indicates that you have made the payment. Subsequently, the website will automatically issue the ticket (due to network reasons, you may need to complete extra operations to complete ticket-issuance. Refer to the "ticketing procedures" for details). After completing this action, you may go to the airport with the valid identification used in booking the flight to complete the necessary procedures before boarding the plane. | | | | | 2. | Directions: Proceed to the Shandong Airlines e-ticket counter at the designated airport to conduct check-in registration with the original identification used during online booking. III. Business Procedures | 1、 | We will not deal out e-ticket refunds in the form of cash. Instead, Shandong Airlines service personnel will refund the fare to the individual or corporate account from the original bank by which the payment was made when purchasing the ticket. | | | | | 2、 | If you wish to have your ticket refunded after checking-in online, please visit the departing airport's Shandong Airlines designated counter to conduct the required procedures. If you have not completed check-in procedures and want your ticket to be refunded, you may apply for a ticket refund online and the cancellation fee is the same as that of an ordinary passenger ticket. V. Online payment tips Payment tips for China Merchants Bank (CMB)
Certified CA internationally, the CMB website uses an internationally recognized SSL protocol.
