| Passenger Ticket Purchasing In purchasing tickets, Chinese passengers should hold their own “inhabitant identity card” or other valid identity certificates (including student ID cards, police ID cards, solider ID cards, civilian cadre cards, retirement certificates, retired cadre honorary certificates, military college student ID cards and certificates for workers on regular payroll of military establishments) and fill in the “Passenger Reservation Record”. Foreigners, oversea Chinese and compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan shall show their valid passports, “home return certificate”, “Taiwan Compatriots Card” , “Residence Permit” , “Travel Certificate” or other valid identity cards provided by the public security authorities , and fill in the “Passenger Reservation Record”. For most airlines, tickets may be booked 15 days in advance. Children Tickets A child aged 2-12 is charged at 50% of the adult fare and entitled to a seat. An infant under 2 years old not occupying a separate seat is charged at 10% of the adult fare and a child ticket shall be bought for such infant taking a seat. One adult passenger is entitled to accompany one infant enjoying the 10% adult fare. If an adult travels with two or more infants, he/she shall buy children tickets for those in excess of limit. Tips for ticket purchasing 1. The ticket can only be used by the passenger named on the ticket. A ticket is not transferable, mutilated or altered, otherwise the ticket is void and no refund will be made. · Tickets being used by passengers shall be subject to verification, including flight coupon for current flight and all other flight coupons and passenger coupons not used and still kept in passenger ticket. If any of the said coupons is missing, the ticket is deemed invalid. Flight coupons shall be used according to flight sequence specified in the ticket. · Domestic passenger tickets must be used for domestic air transport. An international air ticket that any passenger bought from outside China and which is purely for domestic air transport shall be converted into a domestic passenger ticket. · Domestic flight coupons of an international interline ticket can be directly used instead of being changed into a domestic passenger ticket. · A confirmed date ticket is only applicable to boarding date and flights listed on the ticket. |
